A Legacy Woven in Pride, Unity, and Tradition

The past years, our school, Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS), marks another milestone in its rich history with a grand celebration of its founding anniversary. This year’s 123rd High School Day was no exception, it was a day filled with excitement, and the day was packed with activities. We started the day with a parade, walking together with our classmates and teachers. People watched as we passed by, and it felt good to be part of something big. The parade showed how we are all connected as one school.

After the parade, we performed our field demonstration, which we had practiced for weeks. This was our big moment to show what we had learned. All ISNHS students joined the performance, and we were grouped by grade level, from Grade 7 to Grade 11. Boys and girls had separate performances, each showing their own dance. Dancing together with my schoolmates made me feel proud because we worked hard for it. After the performance, we sat down and enjoyed lunch as a class. It was a simple but happy moment where we ate, laughed, and talked about the fun things that happened.

The last part of the day was the Concert for a Cause. Many talented students performed, and the music filled the air with excitement. It was a great way to end the celebration because it was not just about fun, it was also about helping others. This yearly event reminds us of our school’s long history and the values of friendship, teamwork, and kindness that ISNHS teaches us.
